BluArmor has expanded its helmet communication lineup with the launch of the C20, its most budget-friendly mesh intercom to date. Priced at Rs 10,000, the device is available at a special introductory price of Rs 7,000 until June 22, with deliveries commencing on June 18.
Derived from the C50, with a Few Trade-offs
The C20 shares its core design and rear-mounted architecture with the flagship C50, but to achieve a more accessible price point, a few advanced features have been trimmed. Despite that, the essentials remain intact: it delivers over 16 hours of battery life, supports Bluetooth 5.3, and offers a 1.1km line-of-sight communication range, which reduces to around 200–300 metres in urban congestion.
Key Features
-
IP67-rated waterproof build
-
Two-level noise filtering
-
Crash detection system
-
Basic mesh network connectivity via eRIDEGRID+
-
Bluetooth compatibility with intercoms from other brands (limited to Bluetooth pairing)
What’s Missing?
Unlike the C50, the C20 lacks group music sharing, offering only one-to-one music sharing. It also supports just two device connections simultaneously, compared to the C50’s three. Additionally, mesh-based music sharing—a feature on higher-end models like the C50 Pro—is absent here. These omissions help keep the C20’s price significantly lower, making it roughly 40% more affordable than the flagship.
Compatibility & Accessories
The C20 supports the same accessory ecosystem as the C50, including the magnetic dock that works with RideAura, BluArmor’s integrated LED visibility and brake light system. It’s also compatible with the T-stick joystick, which can be mounted on a handlebar for easier control.
Design
In terms of appearance, the C20 closely resembles the C50, but includes a carbon fibre-style central panel, distinct gunmetal grey wings, and subtle C20 branding.
Verdict
With solid core features and a wallet-friendly price—especially during the introductory period—the BluArmor C20 is well-suited for riders looking for reliable helmet communication without the extra frills.
