Bentley Motors has put the Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) Azure on sale in India for Rs. 6 crore, which is a lot of money (ex-showroom). It is the most comfortable Bentayga model because, as the name suggests, it has a 180 mm longer wheelbase and the best rear cabin experience since the Mulsanne.
The Bentley Bentayga EWB is based on the latest second-generation Bentayga and adds new features and changes to the way it looks to make it more luxurious and easy to use. Currently, the only car the company sells in the country is the Bentayga V8.
Body-in-white changes were made to the underfloor, side panels, door, and roof of the Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure. Bentley’s design team ensured that the lines and proportions still showed style and presence. The car’s overall length is 5,322 mm, and its wheelbase has grown from 2,995 mm to 3,175 mm because of this change. All of the extra lengths is in the back door, which makes the back cabin area very nice.
With more space inside, the Bentayga EWB has the world’s first automatic climate control and 22 ways to adjust the back seat for the most comfortable ride. In Relax mode, the seat can recline up to 40 degrees while the passenger seat moves forward and a leather-covered footrest comes out of the back of the front passenger seat. In Business Mode, the seats move to their most upright position, which makes it easier to work on the go.
The Bentley Bentayga EWB’s exterior design is based on the new grille on the Flying Spur. It has vertical chrome blades in front of a black mesh grille and sits on a mirror-polished 22-inch 10-spoke Bentayga wheel. The panoramic sunroof is moved back by 125 mm to compensate for the longer wheelbase. The rear cabin Touch Screen Remote and the front cabin console can control the sunroof. The rest of the car is mostly the same as the Bentayga V8.
The Bentley Bentayga EWB has a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine with the same power output as the Bentayga V8. It has an 8-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive. The maximum horsepower it can produce is 542 bhp. The luxury SUV with this system can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, and its top speed is 290 km/h.
