Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Updated Priced at ₹1.84 Lakh with Minor Enhancements

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Updated

Nearly a decade after its debut, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has received its first update, though the changes are relatively modest. With a new price tag of ₹1.84 lakh (₹10,000 higher than the previous version), the latest iteration introduces a fresh tail-lamp design, a color LCD dashboard, riding modes, and a slipper clutch.

Key Updates on the Bajaj Pulsar RS200

The visual profile of the RS200 remains largely unchanged, retaining its signature sporty design. However, Bajaj has incorporated a redesigned tail-lamp featuring twin pod-style units that integrate the indicators and tail-lights—reminiscent of premium brands like BMW and Harley-Davidson. The bike continues to be offered in three color options: black, white, and red.

The RS200 now comes equipped with the same color LCD instrument cluster and switchgear as the Pulsar NS400Z. This display includes Bluetooth connectivity, enabling features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/notification alerts. Additionally, the bike introduces three riding modes—Off-Road, Road, and Rain—catering to varied conditions.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, the RS200 remains unchanged. It is powered by a 199cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 24.5hp at 9,750rpm and 18.7Nm of torque at 8,000rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slipper clutch.

Pricing and Competition

At ₹1.84 lakh, the updated RS200 is positioned among competitive rivals like the Hero Karizma XMR (₹1.81 lakh) and Yamaha R15 V4 (₹1.84–₹2.11 lakh). Interestingly, its price is nearly identical to the Pulsar NS400Z, a more powerful sibling that retails for ₹1.85 lakh.

While the updates enhance its appeal, the RS200 faces stiff competition in the increasingly feature-rich entry-level sportbike segment.
