Bajaj Auto has given the iconic Pulsar 220F a meaningful update for 2025 by adding dual-channel ABS, significantly enhancing safety on one of its most enduring motorcycles. The updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.28 lakh (Delhi).
Dual-channel ABS added to Pulsar 220F
The biggest highlight of the update is the introduction of dual-channel ABS, bringing the 220F in line with current safety expectations. With this addition, the Pulsar 220F becomes one of the most affordable motorcycles in Bajaj’s Pulsar range to offer dual-channel ABS, making it more attractive to safety-conscious buyers.
New colours and refreshed styling
Alongside the safety upgrade, Bajaj has introduced minor cosmetic updates. The Pulsar 220F now gets refreshed graphics and two new colour options:
-
Black with soft gold accents
-
Orange with a black base and green highlights
These changes help keep the design visually relevant while retaining the familiar semi-faired silhouette that has defined the 220F since its debut.
Features remain largely unchanged
The updated Pulsar 220F continues with the Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster seen on other Pulsar models currently on sale. However, it still does not offer a gear-position indicator. Tyre fitment may vary by batch, with some motorcycles seen running Eurogrip ATT 1150 tyres, while others continue with MRF rubber.
Same proven 220cc engine
Mechanically, there are no changes. The Pulsar 220F continues to be powered by the well-known 220cc air/oil-cooled engine, which produces 20.4hp and 18.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and is known for its strong mid-range performance and highway-friendly nature.
A Pulsar classic that continues to sell
First launched in 2007, the Pulsar 220F is one of the longest-running models in Bajaj’s portfolio and has consistently remained among the brand’s better-selling Pulsars. The addition of dual-channel ABS should help extend its appeal and lifecycle further, especially among buyers looking for a sporty, affordable and proven motorcycle.
The updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F is now available at dealerships across India. Interested customers can contact their nearest Bajaj showroom for variant availability and delivery timelines.
