Apache RTR 310 vs Apache RR 310

TVS has recently introduced the Apache RTR 310, the naked version of their popular supersport bike, the Apache RR 310. Let’s explore the key distinctions between these two siblings:

Visual Differences

The most evident disparity lies in their appearance. The RR 310 boasts a fully faired supersport design, while the RTR 310 adopts a sharp streetfighter styling, reminiscent of the Apache RTR 200. Notably, the RTR 310’s aggressive LED headlight setup bears a resemblance to the Ducati Streetfighter V4.

Moreover, the RTR 310 features a new aluminum bolt-on subframe, while the RR 310 sports a single-piece frame. Additionally, the RTR 310 rides on eye-catching eight-spoke alloy wheels.

Mechanical Differences

Beyond aesthetics, the Apache RTR 310 distinguishes itself mechanically. Both models share the same 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, yet the RTR 310 produces more power, with 35.6PS (1.6PS more) and 28.7Nm (1.4Nm more) of torque.

Electronics & Features

In terms of electronics and features, the RTR 310 elevates the game further. It boasts a 5-inch horizontal TFT console, a departure from the vertical unit on the RR 310. Both bikes offer TVS SmartXonnect connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, but the RTR 310 allows you to connect your helmet communication device and GoPro for convenient control.

Additionally, the RTR 310 introduces a Supermoto mode, which disables the rear ABS for controlled slides. Furthermore, it incorporates a six-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to enhance electronic aids, such as cornering ABS, lean-sensing traction control, wheelie control, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

Price

When it comes to pricing, the TVS Apache RTR 310 is more budget-friendly, starting at Rs 2,42,990, compared to the RR 310’s starting price of Rs 2,72,000. Remarkably, the RTR 310 manages to offer more features, greater power, and a premium feel while remaining more affordable than its supersport counterpart.

In summary, the TVS Apache RTR 310 not only sets itself apart with its distinct styling but also impresses with its enhanced power, advanced electronics, and competitive pricing when compared to the Apache RR 310.
