2026 Ducati Multistrada V2 Launched in India from Rs 18.88 Lakh: Lighter, Smarter, and Sharper

2026 Ducati Multistrada V2 Launched

Ducati has launched the 2026 Multistrada V2 in India, with prices starting at Rs 18.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The new iteration of Ducati’s middleweight adventure tourer promises improved performance, better ergonomics, and enhanced electronics, all while being significantly lighter and more rider-friendly than its predecessor.

Aimed at Versatile Riders

According to Ducati, the Multistrada V2 has been designed for riders who crave the versatility of a twin-cylinder adventure machine—offering comfort for long-distance touring, agility for city rides, and sportiness for twisty mountain roads. Essentially, it’s the sweet spot between everyday usability and the brand’s signature Italian performance DNA.

7kPerformance: 890cc V-Twin Packs 115hp

Powering the new Multistrada V2 is an 890cc Testastretta 11° V-twin engine, tuned to deliver 115hp at 10,750rpm and 92Nm at 8,250rpm. While peak torque is slightly lower than before, Ducati has enhanced the engine’s tractability for smoother power delivery.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter for seamless gear changes. Both variants—V2 and V2 S—benefit from Ducati’s refined mechanical updates for better reliability and smoother engagement.

Lighter and Easier to Handle

One of the biggest updates to the 2026 Multistrada V2 is its significant weight reduction. Ducati engineers have shaved off 18kg, bringing the kerb weight down to 199kg (V2) and 202kg (V2 S). The new monocoque front frame replaces the older trellis structure, further improving rigidity and handling dynamics.

The fuel tank capacity now stands at 19 litres (down by 1 litre), contributing to the lower weight while maintaining a long touring range. Ducati has also reworked the ergonomics with a lower seat height and improved rider triangle, making it easier to manage both at low speeds and when stationary.

Suspension and Ride Modes

The top-spec Multistrada V2 S gets semi-active suspension with Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO, offering real-time electronic damping adjustment. It also features a Minimum Preload function, allowing riders to lower the rear suspension at the push of a button—ideal for easier footing in stop-and-go traffic or while parking.

Riders can choose between five riding modesSport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet—each fine-tuned to adjust throttle response, traction control, wheelie control, ABS, and engine braking.

Updated Design and Technology

The new Multistrada V2 adopts a sharper and more aggressive look, inspired by the Panigale and Multistrada V4. The redesigned LED headlamps and DRLs give it a modern and imposing front fascia, while the new silencer design enhances its sleek profile.

Inside the cockpit, a new 5-inch full-colour TFT display offers improved visibility and a revamped interface with three distinct Info modes. The adventure tourer also comes equipped with:
