2025 Honda XL750 Transalp Launched in India at ₹11 Lakh: Updated Features, Same Price

2025 Honda XL750 Transalp Launched

Honda has launched the 2025 XL750 Transalp in India at an unchanged ex-showroom price of ₹11 lakh (Haryana). The mid-displacement adventure tourer, which sits between the CB500X and Africa Twin in Honda’s global lineup, gets a handful of updates for 2025 aimed at enhancing comfort, performance, and rider interface—while retaining its mechanical core.

What’s New in the 2025 XL750 Transalp?

While the overall silhouette and design philosophy remain unchanged, Honda has introduced key revisions for the new model year:

No Mechanical Changes to the Powertrain

The 2025 Transalp continues with the 755cc parallel-twin engine, liquid-cooled and capable of delivering 91.7hp and 75Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine features a slip-and-assist clutch, ensuring smoother gearshifts during aggressive riding or heavy traffic. A bi-directional quickshifter is available, but only as a paid optional extra—an omission that might raise eyebrows given the competition.

Design, Colours & Ergonomics

Honda offers the 2025 Transalp in two revised colour schemes: a classic Matte Iridium Gray Metallic and Ross White Tricolour. While the visual changes are subtle, the overall design continues to focus on upright ergonomics, a slim fuel tank for easy stand-up riding, and minimal bodywork for off-road practicality.

Despite being a street-biased ADV, the XL750 comes equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, favouring light to moderate trail riding. With a curb weight of 208kg and a seat height of 850mm, it strikes a balance between highway touring and light off-road capability.

How It Stands Against Rivals

In India, the XL750 Transalp slots into a competitive ADV segment and rivals bikes like:

Unlike some of its competition, the Honda offers the confidence of a globally proven platform with Honda’s trademark reliability. However, it lacks some high-end features like adaptive cruise control or cornering ABS, which are increasingly becoming standard in this price range.

Bookings & Availability

Honda has commenced bookings for the 2025 XL750 Transalp, with deliveries scheduled to begin in July 2025. It will be sold through Honda’s BigWing Topline dealerships, which cater to the brand’s premium motorcycle offerings.

Verdict

The 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp is not a radical update but a well-judged refinement of an already capable middleweight ADV. With a focus on enhanced rider comfort, customisation, and updated electronics, it further strengthens Honda’s adventure touring portfolio. At ₹11 lakh, it remains an attractive entry point into the serious ADV space, especially for those looking for a reliable, versatile all-rounder with a global reputation.
