It also features a long, comfortable single-piece seat paired with a body-colored grab rail, ensuring practicality for daily commuting.
Engine & Performance
Powering the 2025 Honda Shine 125 is a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, now compliant with OBD-2B emission norms. It delivers 10.63PS of power and 11Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox for smooth performance.
The bike is also equipped with:
✅ Idle Start-Stop System – Automatically shuts off the engine when idling and restarts with a throttle twist, improving fuel efficiency.
✅ ACG Starter – Ensures a silent and smooth ignition experience.
Suspension, Brakes & Tyres
Built for stability and comfort, the Shine 125 features a telescopic front fork and twin-shock absorbers with 5-step preload adjustability at the rear. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, fitted with:
✅ 80-section tubeless front tyre
✅ Wider 90-section tubeless rear tyre (for better road grip)
Braking duties are handled by:
🔹 Drum Variant: 130mm front drum brake
🔹 Disc Variant: 240mm front disc brake
🔹 Both Variants: 130mm rear drum brake with CBS (Combined Braking System) for added safety
Features & Technology
The 2025 Shine 125 embraces modern technology with a fully digital instrument console, displaying:
✔ Speedometer, Odometer, Tripmeter
✔ Fuel Gauge, Gear Position Indicator
✔ Real-time Fuel Economy, Distance-to-Empty
✔ Power Mode Indicator
Additional convenience features include:
USB Type-C Charging Port (for on-the-go charging)
Side-Stand Engine Cut-Off (prevents accidental starts)
Rivals & Market Positioning
The Honda Shine 125 competes with the Hero Super Splendor, Hero Glamour, and Bajaj Pulsar 125 in the 125cc commuter segment. Known for its reliability, refinement, and smooth performance, the Shine has long been a favorite among daily riders.
With this update, Honda has addressed the lack of modern features—a key area where rivals like the Hero Glamour Xtec had an edge. The addition of a digital console, USB charging, and improved fuel efficiency makes the 2025 Shine 125 a well-rounded and compelling option for buyers seeking a stylish, feature-packed, and fuel-efficient commuter bike.
