2025 BMW R 18 Lineup Unveiled

BMW Motorrad has refreshed its R 18 cruiser lineup for 2025, introducing several upgrades, a sleeker blacked-out aesthetic, a redesigned exhaust system, and a slight torque boost. The iconic 1802cc boxer twin engine now meets Euro 5+ emission norms while maintaining its signature shaft-drive system.

What’s New in the 2025 BMW R 18 Series?

The R 18 lineup continues to be powered by BMW’s largest boxer twin engine, displacing 1802cc and now delivering 91hp and 163Nm of torque—5Nm more than its predecessor.

Each model in the lineup gets unique updates:

Enhanced Comfort & Customization

BMW has introduced an optional Comfort Package, adding cruise control (exclusive to the R 18 Standard), heated grips, hill-start assist, and a lockable fuel filler cap—features not available in previous models.

India Launch & Pricing

The first R 18 First Edition debuted in 2021, and currently, only the R 18 Transcontinental is available in India at ₹32.5 lakh (ex-showroom), competing with the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special. The launch timeline for the 2025 R 18 lineup in India is yet to be confirmed.
